Headteacher's Welcome 

Welcome to Thundridge Church of England (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School.

Our school has been nestled in the beautiful village of Thundridge for hundreds of years and offers a real family friendly feel where all our children are supported and cherished by all of our members of staff. We encourage all our children to grow up to be kind and caring individuals by considering important Christian values. 

'Curiosity, Courage and Compassion' are our key school values. We provide a nurturing environment where children are always encouraged to be curious to learn new things, are brave enough to make mistakes and have a go showing kindness and respect to all.

 We have built a rich and ambitious curriculum to help foster a sense of awe and wonder. We provide exciting opportunities that draw on the children’s interests and real-life experiences.

Our children are happy to come to school where they know they are safe, valued and respected for who they are. We encourage the children to get involved and give their views. Everyone’s voice matters.

We value the relationship we have with our parents and carers and acknowledge the commitment and teamwork that is required as we strive for the best for our children.

Our strong and vibrant Governing Body have a clear vision for our school and support the staff, parents and carers to provide an excellent education for our pupils.

Our school is working in collaboration with another local school. This gives our children 'the best of both worlds' - the family feel of our smaller setting, as well as the broader opportunities being part of a larger organisation offers such as sports events, shared trips and workshops.

We welcome any new families to visit the school to get a feel for its warm community. Please arrange a visit by contacting the school office. We offer 15-hour and 30-hour places in our nursery.
